The city has more five-star hotels than any other city in Croatia including the capital, Zagreb. Hotel Groups such as Adriatic Luxury Hotels, Valamar Riviera Hotels and Importanne Resorts all have wonderful properties in Dubrovnik. Famous hotel brands include the Hilton, Sheraton and the Rixos and there are also quite a few picture-perfect boutique hotels in town such as Pucić Palace Hotel or Villa Dubrovnik.
Whilst the development of new properties has eased down in the last few years due to the already existing high-quality properties, we are pleased to say that these existing properties are constantly being refurbished and updated which results in some truly fantastic accommodation options.

ACTIVITIES IN DUBROVNIK
At DK Events, we always recommend a quality city tour to all our Clients so they can fully appreciate the uniqueness of Dubrovnik. From the old town we can organise many activities such as sea kayaking around the city walls, cooking classes, speedboat tours to the nearby islands or tours on board majestic replicas of merchant ships, for true wow effect. A city rally, boat building activity, treasure hunt or James Bond challenge are all fun team building activities that allow you to explore the old town at the same time. All Game of Thrones fans will enjoy a combination tour of the old town and the city walls seeing many famous locations from the series onsite.
Only half an hour from Dubrovnik you can enjoy Konavle, a small region famous for its folkloric heritage still seen today through Konavle folkloric dress, traditional dancing, singing and a developed agriculture which results in rich offerings of local specialties and fresh produce. Guests can enjoy a 4×4 jeep safari or a bike tour through the region or venture out in vintage Renault 4 cars, sampling the local food and drink along the way.
Wine lovers can head out to Pelješac Peninsula which is located an hour away from Dubrovnik and visit some fantastic vineyards and wineries and taste some of the best wines in the region accompanied by homemade bread and local prosciutto and cheese. Whilst in the area, a visit to the oldest salt plantation in Europe is also recommended as well as a boat trip to the oyster and mussels’ plantation, where on a platform in the sea, guests can taste the freshest mussels and oysters and learn about their cultivation.
For those preferring to venture out into the neighbouring countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina or Montenegro, DK DMC can organise an interesting day trip that will give you a real taste of our neighbours’ best gems, such as the beautiful cities of Mostar and Kotor.
RESTAURANTS AND VENUES
Dubrovnik offers wonderful dining options in the old town and its surrounding areas including some Michelin star restaurants. The restaurant scene is quite diverse in Dubrovnik and guests can enjoy their meal in a variety of locations such as picturesque terraces overlooking the old town, restaurants in the marina or with views of impressive fortresses, as well as converted spaces such as an old monastery that is now a restaurant with the capacity up to 300 pax. DK Events works closely with restaurant suppliers in Dubrovnik and we can recommend the most suitable dining options for your event.
For gala dinners or receptions, Dubrovnik offers some truly breath-taking locations in forms of palaces, galleries, theatres, parks and fortresses that can be converted into amazing gala dinner venues. DK Events has organised many gala dinners on the Revelin fortress overlooking the old town as well as more private events at the wonderful Sponza Palace on the main promenade. At the moment, the combination of Parks Orsula and Višnjica is one of our favourite venues in town due to the location’s privacy, unspoilt nature and amazing views of the old town.
