New direct flights to Split – Croatia

New direct flights to Split – Croatia

Since the airport renovations started in Resnik International Airport of Split, many new flights have been introduced as well, making Split even more accessible to conference, incentive, team building and meeting clients.

Split has always been well connected to many European capitals and transfer hubs with new connections being added every year. As of May 2015, the Scottish capital of Edinburgh will have a weekly flight connection to Split in addition to Glasgow which was the first Scottish airport  with direct flights to Split. The Edinburgh flight will be operated by Jet2, which already runs flights to Split form Leeds and Manchester.

Furthermore, Lufthansa is introducing a new Saturday line to and from Munich (year long), in addition to Croatia Airlines’ four weekly flights (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun) to Munich.

Fly Eth is a new Austrian carrier who will be operating flights to Split from Maribor, Slovenia and additional flights to Brač island from Austrian airports in Vienna, Graz, Inssbruck, Klagenfurt, Linz and Salzburg, along with German airport in Munich. Finally, the Dutch low-cost airline Transavia will have flights from Hague/Rotterdam to Split, from April to November five times a week (except Tuesdays and Thursdays).

These new connections should facilitate easier and shorter travel to Split, not just for individual travellers but for MICE groups as well. Conference and other event organizers now have more flexibility in looking at group schedules which are often flight dependant.
