November is an exciting month in Croatia! It is the time when olives are handpicked and made into olive oil and also the time when young wine which we started making in September is ready for its first tasting. In Croatia, many families make their own olive oil and wine each year especially in Dalmatia and Istria regions. The beauty of this tradition is that both olive oil and wine are organic and without any chemicals or additives.Some of the finest and largest wine producers in Croatia started out as small family businesses.
DK Events Croatia DMC offers many tailor made olive oil and wine tasting events for our groups. Traditionally, for St Martin’s day on 11th November, young wine is blessed and ready for tasting, resulting in many parties throughout Croatia!
